Hailing from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Ishan Malhotra made his first-class debut for the Punjab cricket team in the 2001-02 season. The right-arm medium pacer also joined the rebel league but after its closure, represented the Mumbai Indians in the 2010 IPL season. He was then signed by the Deccan Chargers for the fourth edition in 2011.
