While West Bengal Police registered a case over the incident and arrested Tajmul, Chopra MLA Hamidul Rahaman said the woman's activities were “unsocial”.
The man, allegedly a TMC leader, attacked a couple with bamboo sticks in Chopra in Uttar Dinajpur district of West Bengal.
