Light to moderate rain was recorded in many districts, including Banka, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Bhojpur, Buxar, Gaya, Jehanabad, Kaimur, Katihar, Khagaria, Munger, Nalanda, Patna, Nawada, Purnea, Saran, Sheikhpura, Siwan and Vaishali since July 4, according to the latest rainfall bulletin issued by the Water Resources Department (WRD).

In East and West Champaran districts people living in low-lying areas have been shifted to safer places by the district administrations, they said.

It stated "Isolated very heavy rainfall very likely over Konkan & Goa on July 6; Coastal Karnataka during July 6 - July 9; Madhya Maharashtra, South Interior Karnataka on July 6 -July 7 and Gujarat region on July 6."

India weather news Live: Thirteen people were killed in rain-related incidents across the state in the last 24 hours, Uttar Pradesh's relief department officials said on Saturday.

According to the relief department, from 6:30 pm on Friday to 6:30 pm on Saturday, two people were killed in Fatehpur after being hit by lightning, while one person died of drowning.

Assam has been reeling from floods, with more than 24.5 lakh people affected in 30 districts and major rivers flowing above the danger level at several places.

Cachar, Kamrup, Dhubri, Nagaon, Goalpara, Barpeta, Dibrugarh, Bongaigaon, Lakhimpur, Jorhat, Kokrajhar, Karimganj, and Tinsukia are among the districts affected.

Shahabad was the wettest place in eastern Rajasthan while Parbatsar in Nagaur district in the western part of the state received 71 mm.

India weather news Live: More rainfall is forecast for Andhra Pradesh with the the India Meteorological Department predicting thunderstorms in the state until next Tuesday.

"On Saturday, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are likely at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema. Strong winds with a speed of 30-40 kmph are likely over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and South Coastal Andhra Pradesh," the IMD stated.

India weather news Live: Heavy rainfall in the last three days wreaked havoc in Rajasthan as many parts of the state saw severe waterlogging, buildings collapsed, major roads being disconnected, and death of civilians while a flood alert was also issued in Tonk, said officials familiar with the matter.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department in Rajasthan, at least 14 districts in Eastern and Northern Rajasthan including Tonk, Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bundi, Baran, Karauli, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Dholpur, Bharatpur, Alwar, Sikar, and Churu witnessed excessive rainfall in the last 24 hours.

The maximum rainfall was recorded in Baran's Shahbad with 195mm followed by 155mm in Tonk's Deoli, 144mm in Tonk's Malpura, 142mm in Tonk's Pipulu, and 137 mm in Tonk City, said IMD officials.

India weather news Live: Delhiites woke up to cloudy skies on Saturday with the minimum temperature being recorded at 27.1 degrees Celsius, 0.8 notches below the season's average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The weather department predicted generally cloudy skies with the possibility of light rain during the day. The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 33 degrees Celsius, it said.

The humidity at 8.30 am was at 86 per cent, the IMD said.

According to the report, four hoblis have recorded large deficits (over -60%) during this southwest monsoon (between June 1 and July 6) and 117 hoblis have recorded deficit rainfall ( -20% to -59%). The highest departure from normal percentage was recorded in Madihalli hobli in Belur taluk of Hassan district at -73%, between June 1 and July 6. While Anavatti hobli (Soraba taluk in Shimoga district) stood at -72%, Javagal hobli in Hassan district (Arasikere taluk) recorded -64 and Lakya hobli in Chikkamagaluru recorded -60%.

India weather news Live: Assam's flood situation remained critical on Saturday with over 24.50 lakh people reeling under the deluge in 30 districts and major rivers flowing above the danger mark at several places, an official bulletin said, reported news agency PTI.

The toll in this year's flood was 52 and 12 others lost their lives due to landslides and storms.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma held a meeting with officials late on Friday after returning from the severely affected Dibrugarh district and reviewed the flood situation in the state.

''After visiting flood-affected areas of Dibrugarh, we reviewed several matters, including Assam Arogya Nidhi-a health financial assistance scheme," the chief minister said.

Police said the eaves, commonly called 'chhajja', was not in a good condition and it collapsed after rain in the area.

The owner of the house has been booked, police said, adding that they are trying to catch him. He had given out the house on rent despite the fact that it was in a dilapidated condition, they said.

Rudraprayag Police, Uttarakhand, shared information on X and posted, "The Rudraprayag Gaurikund NH 107 is blocked in the Doliya Devi (Phata) area. Efforts are underway to open the road."
