The US pledged its THAAD missile defence system as well as several troops to Israel after Iran warned the country to not get involved.
Israel's defence ministry said on September 26 that it had secured an $8.7 billion aid package from the United States to support the country's ongoing military efforts, including upgrading air defence systems.
