World Cup Most Wickets

48 ODIsOct 5 - Nov 19

India's potential Player of the Tournament, Mohammed Shami is sitting at the top as the highest wicket-taker of the 2023 World Cup. The India pacer is breathing fire and the same reflects on his outstanding wickets tally of 23 from as little as six games. Left out of India's Playing XI for the first four matches, Shami has grabbed three 5-wicket-hauls from the remaining six, playing a pivotal role in India's qualification for the final. Shami however will face stiff competition from Australia spinner Adam Zampa, who is one wicket short and currently at second position. Dilshan Madushanka and Gerald Coetzee take the third and fourth positions respectively with 21 and 20 scalps each, but just behind them is India pacer spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who couldn't have asked for a better World Cup upon his return from injury with 18 wickets. If the pacers have wreaked havoc, India's spin twins Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav aren't far behind, taking the 18th and 12th positions respectively.
